Brothers, Inc. Announced China Joint Venture
with BASCH Group (

(Feb. 20, 2004, Spartanburg, SC) Reeves
Brothers, Inc. has announced the formation of Shanghai Reeves New
Printing Consumables Co., Ltd., a majority owned joint venture
company, located in Shanghai, China, for the purpose of
manufacturing and selling both conventional and compressible
printing blankets in China. Reeves Brothers, Inc. is partnering with
the Shanghai New Printing Technology Group and the Basch Group to
expand on an existing conventional printing blanket business and to
construct new facilities that will produce compressible printing
blankets on the same site in the Pudong district of Shanghai.
Glen Hussmann, CEO of Reeves Brothers, Inc., commented on the
initiative, “We are excited about the formation of this company
and are proud to be working closely with our new partners. Our
objective is simple. We want to be a leading producer and supplier
of high quality printing blankets serving the dynamic printing
industry in China and we are confident that we have the resources
and expertise to be successful.”
Mr. Cheng Kangying, CEO of BASCH Group made his comments in the JV
contract signing ceremony, "We can consist a good partnership
with Reeves Brothers, Inc., I believe that Shanghai Reeves will take
the advantage of our existed distributing net work in Chinese
market, and will certainly become the largest and most powerful
printing blanket manufacturer in China."
Construction of the new facilities will begin immediately and local
production of compressible printing blankets is expected by 1Q 2005.
